While reading the article "It may take a little longer to get a cab without Uber but you will be a damn sight safer once it arrives", it is noticeable that Katie Hopkins uses the appeal to ethos to construct her stories. In the article, Katie states statistics to help her evidence become more credible for her claim, as well as using reports from real life situations to provide credible examples that can not be denied. Hopkins even used tweets that were tweeted out to her to provide a counter-argument in the article, and used herself as a credible source when providing examples from her life. However, ethos is not the only method of appeal Katie Hopkins used in this article, logos was also a main component. Logos can be seen when Katie justifies her reasoning for saying something, including her own opinions of the argument.
Hopkins has a very bold style to her writing. She is not afraid to express her personal opinions on a certain situation. This is prevalent in the article title, knowing that people like the "US ride-hailing app" and use it as a easier and better mode of transportation Katie continues to state that without the app young women will become safer going up against all other opinions. Katie Hopkins is totally aware of her "haters" due to the fact that she put a come-back in the article. She has even gotten in big trouble for publishing articles. Katie was fired in 2017 by the Daily Mail due to the fact that she had been accused of racism against Muslims. In one situation Hopkins even had to pay family she falsely accused of extremist links, yet not only did Katie have to pay up she made Daily Mail pay the family too.
